There has been one issue that has been weighing on my chest for a while now. Things happen in life that you just really need to go with the flow. But, when history repeats itself, and it seems worse the second time around, it really bothers me. There are people in your lives that will come and go. You need to be the stronger person and move on. Yet, somehow it is like salt on a wound when the hurt you or your family, or extended family the same way as last time.
We are taught as kids to forgive and forget. I have done that in the past and have been burnt. So, to be honest, I don't forgive too easily and I show it. My wonderful husband is the polar opposite. Which is a great thing for me, because he reminds me to sometimes not show how I am feeling. But, with what has happened recently my wound hurts and I see the pain in my husbands face and the people we love so much.
The internet can be awful at times. People like to make vlogs (video blogs) to feed their egos. There are some vloggers who are just darn right hilarious, talented, and entertaining. Then, there are the vloggers who think we need to watch them eating, hearing them singing in the shower, or laying in bed. Not tasteful. If you are one of them, I don't mean to offend you in anyway. Leave me a link to your vlog, and I will watch it! I don't judge people, until they make a vlog to feed their ego or spread lies about the people I care about. I stick up for the people I love. Yes, I tend to be quiet about things....well, mostly rant to my husband and move on, but, there are people who think they are SO funny and entertaining on their vlog, they don't see how they are hurting people who watch it. Who they just up until recently called friends.
At the moment, you are probably asking yourself, "what is the difference between you writing a blog, and someone doing a video blog, or updating their status on Facebook?"
1) I decided to write a blog to share my experience as a newlywed, and how life is always changing. Also, to let other newlyweds know, it is ok to move away to another state. Yes, there are good and bad days where you will miss your family and friends, but our experience has been a true blessing. Our marriage has grown so much closer. We travel so much more and enjoy life and the beauty in it. We are expanding outside of our bubble and much more. I want people to read this blog and smile. Yes, it may not be the most exciting or entertaining, but I don't care. This is my safe place to write about what is on my heart. And I promise you, this will be the ONLY negative blog post.
2) The difference on this blog verses a vlog.....I won't tell you what I am eating for the day, or hear me singing in the show, and laying in bed. We all do it, but we don't need to show it to the world. Instead, I will write about the ups and downs of a new life in a new state, life's challenges, and the crafts I do to make people happy.
3) If you are a friend of mine on Facebook....YAY!!!! I love Facebook to post random those, accomplishments in our lives, and pictures I post of things I find strange, funny, and true beauty in life.
I really don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings or offend them, but I figured since some people are allowed to post things online that are lies and hurtful about the people I care about. Why can't I do the same thing?
