A New Chapter

Well, tomorrow we will have lived in Nebraska for one week.  Wow. We arrived here on Friday afternoon, and it just felt like a dream that we had traveled 1,300 miles.  We had a blast, but I will write more about that later. :)  My husband and myself took the weekend to relax a bit, and drive around the town.  By Monday, we hit the ground running to look for jobs.  CJ went around town and decided to go to the Taco Bell and just see if they had a job.  He worked at Taco Bell before we left, and thought it would be a nice transition if he got a job up here.

Sure enough, the manager told him to come back for an interview....and he got the job on Wednesday!  I went to the school district and was able to get a substitution job! At first I was a little bummed because I really want to be in a classroom, but our banker told me it would be a great way to start out.  That way, if a teaching job came up, and I didn't like the school, I would be able to pass on the job offer and wait for a better school! That evening I just couldn't believe how blessed we were to move in on Friday, then by Monday, both of us have jobs!! God is great!

The house is just simply adorable! It was built over 90 years ago, and is a bungalow style.  Two bedrooms, one bath, full basement, and beautiful back yard!  We don't have all of out stuff just yet, since Dad being a truck driver, he will bring the rest of our stuff up for us!  So, cross your fingers, that will show up in about 2 weeks! :)  Last night we mowed the lawn for the first time.  Hehe...we are such city folks.  All excited to mow a lawn!! But, it was rewarding too knowing we are living in our first HOUSE. No, we don't own it, but still, it is a house!  It is a new beginning and adventure!

The newish house!

Next week I will write about the difference between Arizona and Nebraska....and ohhh my goodness. Going from a city to country is like a slap in the face! :) But a good slap. One thing for sure I do love here is how kind people are. Trust me, there are still the rude ones, but most of them smile and say hello!! Right?!?! People actually talking and saying hello to strangers!? Shocking. haha!!! Until then readers, than k you for going along with the ride! :)
